Self-made ornaments on furniture

Ornaments are the rising star in the furniture sky. ADLER application technology professional, Walter Streiter

Buried in oblivion for a long time and banished from the design establishment for decades: the ornament. However, these times are over. Ornaments are the rising star in the furniture sky. ADLER application technology professional, Mr. Walter Streiter shows you in a few steps how you can create unique patterns perfectly and professionally. All types of wood used for furniture, either natural or stained, are suitable as a substrate.

HOW TO DO:

Apply a primer coat one or two times of solvent-based or water-thinnable paint (e.g. ADLER Legnopur). Let the coat dry properly and sand it using grain size 280 to 320.

Glue on the sandblast film with the desired ornament (such films are available with many sign painters)

Patinate the ornament thinly with ADLER Patinabeize farblos (Patina stain colourless) - blended with ADLER Solva-Tint in the colour shade desired and with the matching concentration (Patina spray gun 0.8 – 1 mm nozzle).

Applying the topcoat: Apply one coat of the same product used in step one - e.g. ADLER Legnopur with the desired degree of gloss.

FINISHED!
